Prince Edward Island Shell Art Local artisans handcraft local oyster and mussel shells into miniature works of art. No two are alike.
Oyster Shell Santa Our whimsical Santa is hand painted on an oyster shell and decorated with lichens, mosses and seaweeds. Shells are different shapes and are decorated slightly differently from one another but each with natural materials. Oyster shell Santa comes in two sizes, medium (approx. 4 to 5") and large (approx. 6 to 8").
The local wild blue heron is hand painted on a mussel shell. Each is signed by the artist. Comes with its own stand.
Lady Slipper Painted Mussel Shell The local pink Lady Slipper is hand painted on a mussel shell. (The Lady Slipper is PEI's provincial flower). Each is signed by the artist. Comes with its own stand.
